September Events Calendar
Fundraising FriYAYs! – Every Friday
Start off your weekend by spreading a little good! Every week, we host Fundraising FriYAYs at Vineyard Leasing Office! Community members can stop by and purchase a variety of local homemade products, themed baskets, crafts, and baked goods. We have unique packages from $10 and up! All proceeds go to Alzheimers and Parkinson’s organizations and charities. Awareness for both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s is a cause important to our memory care community.
- Every Friday, from 9am-5pm, at the Leasing Office

Dog Days of Summer – September 21

Vineyard Support Group – September 26
Support groups traditionally only include caregivers and family members, but not the person suffering from dementia or Alzheimers. The Vineyard support group is disrupting that old model. We welcome caregivers, family members, as well as those with memory-related conditions.
We partner with both UNLV and Touro University, with LCSW and OT department students on-site to moderate the session, engage with participants, and offer further expertise.
Please note that we aim to keep the session intimate and productive, so we have a limited number of spots available.
- Thursday, September 26th, 2pm-3pm at the Leasing Office
- Space is limited; please contact us to RSVP, or do so on Facebook
Walk a Mile in My Shoes – September 28
Our partner, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, provides safe shelter, meals, long-term rehabilitation programs, counseling, and encouragement to help our neighbors escape homelessness. They encourage supporters to take part in a charity walk, where they walk a mile in the shoes of a homeless individual to understand their journey.
We are proud to participate in the Walk a Mile event this year and encourage our community members to do the same!
- Saturday, September 28th, 9am-12pm at the Las Vegas Review-Journal

Continued Success with Soles4Souls
One of our favorite Vineyard Gives initiatives is our partnership with the fantastic organization, Soles4Souls. We have collected hundreds of pairs of shoes to date, and we still accept donations at our leasing office. Get more information here.
Remember that every unused pair of shoes can mean a world of difference for those in need.
Henderson Chamber of Commerce Connect Mixer
The Vineyard tribe had a fabulous time meeting and mingling with Henderson community members at the Connect start tank, expo, and mixer!
August Lunch and Learn with New York Life
New York Life made the August Lunch and Learn a dynamic and informative event. Community members learned actionable financial management strategies, as well as tips for future financial planning. Thanks to our community partners for sharing their knowledge and expertise!
