Alzheimer’s Support Group
Vineyard Henderson is hosting Alzheimer’s support groups the third Thursday of every month! We invite you to join us for our next meeting Thursday, September 21 from 10 – 11 am. with our Support Group Coordinator, Jennifer MacIntosh from Lenus Hospice.

Bakery Breaks
Our residents continue to enjoy our daily Bakery Breaks. They took a break from the heat with lemon icees – yummy!
Gardening Club
The second meeting of our Garden Club was a success with the residents painting bird feeders to brighten up the garden area.
This club has been a great success so far in providing more purpose for our residents in their daily lives.
Environmental Services Week
We celebrated Environmental Services Week! We are so lucky to have great employees who pour themselves into our community to make it so welcoming and comforting for our seniors.
Today we are featuring Robert, our Environmental Services Director. Learn more about Robert below:
- Hometown? Los Angeles, CA
- Who influenced your life the most? My mother
- What made you want to work in this field? I stumbled into it by accident. I was a truck driver at the time and was sent to the wrong location. It turned out to be a 55+ senior community and they offered me a job.
- Favorite thing about working at Vineyard? Doing things for the residents and making a difference for them TODAY. I’ve been working with seniors for 18 years and this is all I want to do.

- Hometown: Dexter, Missouri
- Who Influenced You? My mother. She was a housewife so she spent a lot of time with me. She was church going, so she taught me to spend time praying every day. She really was a natural mother, she was so caring and looked over all of us.
- Favorite Part of Vineyard: I like the people that work here. But mostly how comfy, homey, and clean my room is.
- What life advice would you pass on? Take care of the things that other people give you.
