Community Update From Executive Director
Hello and good day, Friends!
I’m sure you’ve been wondering about the reason for the delayed opening of Vineyard Johns Creek in recent months. Initially, construction delays were the culprit, and we were on schedule to open in January 2023, but then sprinkler pipe breaks over the Christmas holidays created another setback. This last issue turned out to be a blessing in disguise, since we had not yet welcomed our many depositors to the community.
Now that remediation and all community testing have been completed with 100% compliance, we’re moving into the reconstruction phase which is slated to be completed within 90 days. This timeline puts us in line for an early summer 2023 grand opening! From there, just watch us grow!!
What’s going on as we wait? Plenty! Our full team of community directors have been preparing staff protocol for our holistic approach to care, community involvement, intergenerational engagement, and support for our “Life Your Way” ™ commitment to our residents. From our journey to become an Eden Alternative certified community as well as our goal to become a certified National Wildlife Federation Habitat, we are aiming high! Additionally, our commitment to change up the daily experience of our residents receiving care for dementia-related illnesses includes Age-U-Cate programs, Music and Memory, and several other innovative offerings. We’re committed to creating community with the resident at the center of all efforts. Our department directors were selected with our team goals at the center and are in sync to create something new and different in senior living. Stay tuned as we move through reconstruction for an announcement on Opening Day at Vineyard Johns Creek. We’ll be worth waiting for!

Community Partner – Transitional Care Physicians of America
Vineyard Johns Creek will also be partnering with Transitional Care Physicians of America! They will be a wonderful addition to our amazing team to offer a continuum of care to the residents of Vineyard Johns Creek in the community.
Transitional Care Physicians of America will provide 24/7 availability and monthly community visits for primary care by Dr. Mohan or Hila Oren, N.P., along with:
- more frequent visits for acute needs,
- medication management/optimization and care planning,
- symptom and chronic pain management,
- depression/cognitive function/behavior management,
- Home Health services coordination to achieve physical function optimization,
- Transitional Care, Palliative Care, Geriatric care-focused dementia care,
- on-site lab collection, and radiology services, and
- discharge plan compliance.

Meet another one of our exciting partners, Empower Recreational Therapy, LLC!
Vineyard Johns Creek will be working closely with Empower’s CEO & Founder, Laura Kelly! Laura brings 10+ years in the aging industry serving in various professional roles ranging from Business Owner, Recreation Therapist, Wellness Director, Regional Management, and Adjunct University Instructor.
Laura’s vast experiences have led to founding Empower Recreational Therapy, LLC, in to improve the accessibility of recreational therapy services to those aged 50+ of all abilities throughout the North Atlanta community.
