To beat the summer heat, we’ve had plenty of fun activities happening around the community. From card games, exercise sessions, and indoor volleyball, the residents are staying active and having a blast!
Be sure to follow us on social media to keep up with what we are up to.
Summer Cuisine
Chef Travis has been busy in the kitchen, whipping up savory summer dishes. Seafood risotto, Hawaiian pizza, shrimp & grits, lastly sweet potato cheesecake. Our chef-prepared meals are delicious and nutritious!
At Vineyard Johns Creek, we believe meal time should always be a special time. We pride ourselves on creating true culinary experiences. Our residents provide menu inspiration from their family recipes and their travels. This is just another example of how we’re honoring “Life, Your Way.”™

We would like to highlight one of our amazing community partners, Colleen, the Director of Rehab at Powerback Rehab!
Colleen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University in 1986. She began her career at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago where she began assisting and teaching Neurodevelopmental (NDT) and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) treatment approaches.
Colleen has 37 years of experience of assessing and treating adults with a large variety of medical conditions within multiple settings. She quickly developed a passion working with neurological and movement disorders such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
Colleen is a Certified LSVT BIG clinician. Her most recent passion is in the clinical assessment and treatment of adults living with Dementia or Alzheimers, using therapeutic approaches to slow progression of the disease by preserving motor pathways for daily living skills through meaningful and purposeful activities.
Colleen has demonstrated positive patient outcomes with extensive Occupational Therapy intervention in the Assisted and Memory Care settings.
She believes that every adult has potential to engage their bodies and brain in activities they enjoy.
She hopes to bring daily joy to each resident and family and feels grateful to serve at Vineyard Johns Creek.
Please say hello to Colleen if you see her in the community!
Fresh Flower Market
Our residents love our Oscar’s Fresh Flower Market event we have every two weeks!
Kroger donates cut flowers, potted plants, or seeds that we are giving a second life here at Vineyard.
We create flower arrangements that will either grace the community, get delivered to residents during our weekly walking club, or gifted to team members to enjoy at home or surprise their loved ones with something pretty!
Growing Gray Matter
Calling all puzzle lovers! 🧩 Our Memory Care residents had a blast at our Growing Gray Matter Activity for the day – Puzzling & Games
